ASTRIA MOVES DIFFERENTLY

Watch how a regular drone is impacted by gusts of wind. Our patented configuration, Astria, uses cyclorotor technology to stay steady in flight, even in big gusts of wind!

CYCLOROTOR

Instant thrust vectoring for precision control.

Pitch Aero's patented cyclorotor makes Astria precise. It can create thrust forward, backwards, or sideways so that Astria doesn't need to lean. It can change thrust near-instantaneously to account for wind variations.

PAYLOAD FORWARD

Unrestricted access to the job site.

Astria's 5-20lb payload is positioned at the end of an interchangable arm. This keeps the installation payload, sensor or tool away from the rotors and allows it to interact with cables, towers, and structures. This arm can be quickly swapped to provide the right tool or sensor for the job at hand.

COLLAPSIBLE

Any job site is accessible.

Astria is ready to reach the most remote job sites. Every component collapses down to fit inside hard cases to check on a flight or put in the back of a vehicle. Astria can be assembled or disassembled in minutes without any special tools.

POSITIONING SENSORS

Avoid obstacles and use them to navigate.

Time of flight sensors mounted in every direction, paired with optical flow cameras allow Astria to see the world around it. These sensors provide obstacle avoidance and allow Astria to hold positioning even if GPS satellites are obstructed or jammed.

FIRST PERSON VIEW

Precise positioning from far away

An onboard camera, paired with virtual reality goggles allows you to fly Astria as if you were in the cockpit. This allows the pilot to precisely position a sensor or tool up-close or in contact with an inspection target - even on part of an inspection target that isn't visible from the ground. The goggles overlay key flight and inspection information over the video for rapid decision-making.

SWAPPABLE BATTERY

Add another 20 minutes of flying in a few seconds.

Astria's battery can provide 20 minutes of flight time with a full payload. It can be swapped out in seconds enabling all-day operations. In the future, we will provide a tethered solution for even longer endurance applications.

MADE IN IDAHO

Out of almost entirely US parts.

Astria is made almost entirely from parts made in the US by domestic companies. We're working towards a Blue UAS certification.
